Start 30, aim 20 (1st diamond from the left on the top cushion), no spin. Arrival 10: 2/3 of a diamond from the corner on the bottom cushion.
A short–long–short (단장단) system derived from the 2/3 principle. The cue ball aims from the bottom short cushion at the opposite (top) short cushion and comes back via the long cushion to the short cushion it started from (3rd cushion). A ball without spin travels, after the 1st cushion, only 2/3 of the way it would go with ideal reflection; this is why 15 per diamond is used on the arrival scale. The spin is added as a separate term, each level being worth 10. It takes its name from the fact that the paths leaving the same line with different spins look like a spider's web.
When? When the cue ball is near the bottom short cushion (or its line passes through there) and ball 3 is waiting near the same short cushion: in bricole shots and in positions where the cue ball is played to the opposite short cushion, the long cushion and back.

Watch outThe spin values are levels around the clock: 40 is exactly 9 o'clock; 10 to 30 lie between 12 and 9 o'clock, above the equator.
Watch outIn the diagrams the line after the 1st cushion is drawn with ideal reflection to the calculated arrival; with spin the real path curves at the cushions.
