Start 6, D1 2; Arrival 1.5, D2 3 → Aim 3.07. The dashed line runs from the midpoint to the corner point; the path of the cue ball is parallel to this line.

The cue ball goes first to the long cushion, then to the short cushion of the same corner, and then to ball 2. A ball coming off two perpendicular cushions leaves parallel to its incoming direction and in the opposite direction. That is why the aiming line is found without numbers: the line joining the midpoint of the cue ball and the ghost ball to the corner is shifted parallel to itself until it lies over the cue ball.

When? When ball 2 is to be made with a bricole off the two cushions of a corner (long cushion → short cushion or short cushion → long cushion); when you want a quick aiming reference that needs no calculation.

Watch outThe line only gets the cue ball to ball 2; for the path after ball 2, the ball fraction and the spin are chosen separately.

Watch outThe geometrically correct corner point is the intersection of the two mirror lines; any other corner reference, such as the corner of the diamond line, shifts the line.
