Aim = Arrival − Start

Basic exampleArrival: 50Start: 30Aim: 20Start 30, arrival 50. Aim = 50 − 30 = 20. The line runs from 30 through the cue ball to 20 on the top short cushion; after the short, long and long cushions, the cue ball arrives at 50.
Aiming at the cornerArrival: 45Start: 30Aim: 15Start 30, arrival 45. Aim = 45 − 30 = 15. With a start of 30 the corner's value is 15, so you aim at the corner. The cue ball first hits ball 2 (yellow); the line goes from 30 over ball 2 to the corner.
Pase bola, arrival 60Arrival: 60Start: 40Aim: 20Start 40, arrival 60. Aim = 60 − 40 = 20. The cue ball first hits the yellow ball; the line goes from 40 over the yellow ball to 20.
Arrival 32.5 (65 at the 4th cushion)Arrival: 32.5Start: 5Aim: 27.5Start 5, arrival 32.5. Aim = 32.5 − 5 = 27.5. The arrival at the 4th cushion is twice this: 65.
Start 32, arrival 10Case: Start beyond the 6th diamond (Start − Arrival)Arrival: 10Start: 32Aim: 22In this case the formula is Start − Arrival: Aim = 32 − 10 = 22. 22 is the point on the top short cushion between 20 and 30, close to 20.
