Introductory diagram: the cue ball hits ball 2 and travels right long cushion → top short cushion → left long cushion to ball 3 in the bottom-right corner. No values are given in this introductory example.
Everyone knows how to play these common positions with the traditional systems. The Bola-Efecto method lets you play them with different combinations of ball fraction and spin; this gives you better control over where ball 2 ends up and lets you avoid the kiss more precisely.
When? When, after hitting ball 2, the cue ball follows the path right long cushion → top short cushion → left long cushion and comes down into the lower part of the table along a lane (calle) (rodada).

Watch outAvoid going to extremes with maximum spin and minimum ball fraction as far as possible: there is a risk of miscuing or missing the ball.
Editor's note · Ball fraction and spin stepsUncertain reading: in the spin diagram there are two intermediate marks, between S and S−1 and between S−1 and S−2; their values are not certain (they may be half steps). The S−1 position was verified against the S−1 symbol in the examples.
Editor's noteEditor's note: The "4" in the title (Sistemas Bola-Efecto 4) is most likely the section/family number in the series: the short cabaña counts as the "first family" of Bola-Efecto positions. The meaning of this number is not certain.
